Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the IMRF Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Makes appointed assessors eligible for the special retirement formula for elected county officers. Effective immediately.

 Pension Note (Pension Laws Commission)
 The fiscal impact of HB 1397 cannot be determined. For counties that offer the optional plan to elected officials, there would be a fiscal impact, as the required employee contributions only pay a portion of the cost of the operational benefits.
