Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Administration Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. In regard to the recovery of Medicaid funds paid by the Department of Healthcare and Family Services when another payer was liable, requires the Department to provide an annual report to the General Assembly detailing the amount of funds recovered. Effective immediately.

305 ILCS 5/12-4.42
Adds reference to:
305 ILCS 5/12-4.45 new

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Administration Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that the Department of Healthcare and Family Services shall not contract for enrollment broker services for the Medical Assistance Program with any entity that has a financial relationship with any entity serving the Medicaid eligible population as a direct fee-for-service provider, Managed Care Organization (MCO), Primary Care Case Management (PCCM), or any other care coordination entity. Defines "financial relationship" to mean (i) a direct or indirect ownership or investment interest in the entity, or (ii) a compensation arrangement with the entity. Effective immediately.
