Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Forestry Development Act. changes "forestry management" to "forest management". Makes other name changes and revisions. Makes changes concerning Forestry Development Council terms and membership and extends the Council through 2018. Makes changes concerning cost share amounts. Makes other changes. Effective immediately.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Makes various changes in the membership of the Illinois Forestry Development Council by having certain appointments made by statewide associations involved in relevant issues rather than by specifically named associations.

 HB 4549 (H-AM 1) has no fiscal impact to the Department of Natural Resources

House Floor Amendment No. 2
Provides that there is no rulemaking authority under the amendatory Act, but that the Governor may suggest rules by filing them with the General Assembly and requesting that the General Assembly authorize such rulemaking by law, enact the suggested rules into law, or take other appropriate action in the General Assembly's discretion.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes language providing that there is no rulemaking authority under the amendatory Act.
