Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Check Cashing Act. Provides that, if a casino-based electronic check acceptance service has taken part in a casino-based transaction involving a check that is dishonored, then a casino-based electronic check acceptance service may not recover treble damages from a person who writes a check for use in a casino-based transaction that is dishonored.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Provides that a casino-based electronic check acceptance service may recover from a person who writes a check for use in a casino-based transaction that is dishonored the amount of the check, plus $25 (rather than specifying that the casino-based electronic check acceptance service may not recover treble damages).
