Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Good Samaritan Act. Provides that the definition of "free medical clinic", includes any program organized by a certified local health department utilizing members of the federal Volunteer Medical Reserve Corps, at which the care provided does not include an overnight stay in a health-care facility.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Specifies that the added programs are those that provide medical care without charge to individuals unable to pay for it. Provides that the changes made by the amendatory Act apply only to causes of action accruing on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act.
