Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the School Code. Prohibits a school district from promoting a student to the next higher grade level if the student has more than 10 days of unexcused absences, unless the student makes up those absences by attending a remedial or summer school class. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately.
