Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the State Employees Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that a person may establish credit for certain military service without paying the cost of employer contributions if application is made before July 1, 2004. Effective immediately.

 Pension Note (Pension Laws Commission)
 The fiscal impact of HB 2141 has not been calculated, as the amount of credit that will be established is unknown. There will be a fiscal impact, however, as the member is not required to make the employer contributions or pay interest.
