Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the National Guard Veterans Exposure to Hazardous Materials Act. Repeals provisions: establishing a task force to study the possible health effects of the exposure to hazardous materials; requiring the task force to submit a report by January 31, 2008; and terminating the task force on the earlier of the date it submitted the report or January 31, 2008.

Adds reference to:
5 ILCS 490/165 new

Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Designates the 7th day of August of each year as Purple Heart Day to be observed as a day to honor and remember those who have been wounded or killed in battle.
