Illinois General Assembly - Bill Status for EO1507

Directs that all solicitations issued by a State agency shall include a requirement that prospective vendors and their subcontractors pay a minimum hourly wage of $10 to all employees subject to a minimum wage; however, if a home rule municipality has a minimum wage in excess of $10, the higher minimum wage shall apply. Directs that all pending solicitations issued by a State agency must be amended to include a requirement that prospective vendors and their subcontractors pay a minimum hourly wage of $10 to all employees subject to a minimum wage; however, if a home rule municipality has a minimum wage in excess of $10, the higher minimum wage shall apply. Directs that, if a solicitation that was pending before the effective date of the executive order is withdrawn without a notice of award having been posted, and the solicitation is re-posted on or after the effective date of the executive order, the re-posted solicitation shall include a requirement that prospective vendors and their subcontractors pay a minimum hourly wage of $10 to all employees subject to a minimum wage; however, if a home rule municipality has a minimum wage iu excess of S10, the higher minimum wage shall apply. Directs that all contracts arising out of solicitations issued by a State agency shall include a requirement that the awarded vendor and all of its subcontractors pay a minimum hourly wage of $10 to all employees subject to a minimum wage; however, if a home rule municipality has a minimum wage in excess of $10, the higher minimum wage shall apply. Provides that the executive order does not apply to contracts arising out of solicitations in which all proposals have been received by the soliciting State agency as of the effective date of the executive order. Contains provisions regarding savings and severability. Effective immediately.
