Synopsis As Introduced
Creates the Department of Transportation Technical Merit Board as an independent body. Provides that the Board shall, separate from and in addition to the actions and functions already performed by the Department of Transportation, independently oversee the Department's application of specified Personnel Code provisions and implement, review, and maintain stringent controls for specified Department employees. Contains provisions concerning membership, powers and duties, independence, administrative and technical support, transparency, savings, and other matters. Effective immediately.
