Illinois General Assembly - Bill Status for EO1408

Provides that an Employment First Liaison shall be appointed within the Office of the Governor to implement Illinois' Employment First Policy in conjunction with the Employment and Economic Opportunity for Persons with Disabilities Task Force and certain State agencies. Contains provisions regarding: implementation of the Employment First Policy to facilitate the full inclusion and integration of individuals with disabilities in the workplace; development of a preliminary 5-year plan and a final plan to improve community integrated private employment outcomes for people with disabilities; alignment of other programs with Employment First; reporting; oversight; savings; severability; and other matters. Effective immediately.
