Illinois General Assembly - Bill Status for EO1405

Proposes to transfer the Illinois Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service (also referred to in the executive order as Serve Illinois) from the Department of Human Services to the Department of Public Health. Provides that the transfer "....shall become effective July 1, 2014" and provides "This Executive Order is effective upon filing with the Secretary of State." (Note: Under Article V, Section 11 of the Constitution, if an executive order reassigning functions among or reorganizing executive agencies directly responsible to the Governor would contravene a statute, then either house of the General Assembly may disapprove the executive order in the manner specified in that Section.)
