Synopsis As Introduced
Proposes to reorganize the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation by creating a Division of Real Estate in the Department to be headed by a Director of Real Estate and transferring the functions of the Bureau of Real Estate Professions of the Department's Division of Professional Regulation to the Division of Real Estate. Provides that the reorganization and transfer are "Effective 60 calendar days after the date on which this Executive Order is delivered to the General Assembly, or as soon thereafter as practicable...." and "This Executive Order is effective upon filing with the Secretary of State." (Note: Under Article V, Section 11 of the Constitution, if an executive order reassigning functions among or reorganizing executive agencies directly responsible to the Governor would contravene a statute, then either house of the General Assembly may disapprove the executive order in the manner specified in that Section.)
