Synopsis As Introduced
Creates the Northeastern Illinois Public Transit Task Force to make recommendations regarding how the operations of the Regional Transportation Authority, the Chicago Transit Authority, the Commuter Rail Board, and the Suburban Bus Board can be reorganized, streamlined, or restructured to ensure greater efficiency, accountability, coordination, and transparency. Contains provisions regarding the composition of the Task Force, its purpose, and its duties, including submitting a final report to the Governor and the General Assembly no later than January 31, 2014. Effective August 15, 2013.
