Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Requires the Department to conduct a survey of certain businesses that are located in the State or have been identified as having left the State in the last 10 years. Provides that the survey must contain information regarding (i) why the business left, if applicable, and the location to which the business relocated and (ii) any incentives that are needed to keep and attract the business. Effective immediately.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Provides that the bill is subject to appropriation. Provides that the survey must include the approximate date when the business was first located in Illinois.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 5
Deletes reference to:

Adds reference to:
230 ILCS 10/2from Ch. 120, par. 2402
230 ILCS 10/13.2 new

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Riverboat Gambling Act if and only if Senate Bill 1849 of the 97th General Assembly becomes law in its enrolled form. Provides that specified moneys from the tax revenue deposited in the State Gaming Fund shall be deposited annually into specified funds. Makes corresponding changes to the stated legislative intent.
