SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Loyd M. Longenbaugh of Urbana, who passed
4away on December 12, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Loyd Longenbaugh was born on March 10, 1923 in
6Fisher; his parents were Rev. Guy O. and Leta M. (nee Reeter)
7Longenbaugh; he married Marjorie A. Dillman on August 8, 1948
8in Champaign; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Loyd Longenbaugh attended school in Clinton; he
10retired from the United States Air Force as a pilot after 30
11years, having served through World War II, the Korean War, and
12the Vietnam War; and
 
13    WHEREAS, After retiring from the Air Force, Loyd
14Longenbaugh became a supervisor for MTD, where he retired after
1535 years of service; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Loyd Longenbaugh was a member of the Urbana
17American Legion, the Illinois State Grange, and the 1st Fighter
18Wing Association; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Loyd Longenbaugh was preceded in death by his
20wife; his 3 brothers; and his 3 sisters; and

1    WHEREAS, Loyd Longenbaugh is survived by his daughters, Sue
2C. (Carl) McLin, Lynn L. Dilley, and Ann (David) Rivier; his
3brother, Eugene Longenbaugh; his grandchildren, Justin McLin,
4Erin (Stephen) Andre, Meghan (Michael) Kneese, Molly (Amy
5Maddin) Dilley, Joshua Dilley, Neal (Lauryl) McKenry, and Ellyn
6(Travis) Lord; and his 6 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Loyd M. Longenbaugh;
10and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Loyd Longenbaugh as an expression of
13our sympathy.
