SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James L. Anderson of Bloomington, who
4passed away on August 13, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Anderson was born on November 15, 1936 in
6Rockford; his parents were Clifford and Anna Carlin Anderson;
7he married Mary Morrison on June 28, 1958 in Princeton; and
 
8    WHEREAS, James Anderson graduated from Rockford East High
9School in 1954, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
10in 1958, and the University of Illinois College of Law in 1961;
11after receiving his law degree, he proudly served his country
12as a captain in the United States Air Force JAG Corps;
13following his military service, he practiced law in
14Bloomington-Normal for more than 50 years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, James Anderson was an avid coin collector, history
16buff, traveler, sportsman with a particular fondness for golf,
17and raconteur; he also enjoyed Swedish food, the Chicago Bears,
18the Chicago Cubs, the Fighting Illini, and spending time with
19his family and friends; and
 
20    WHEREAS, James Anderson is survived by his wife, Mary; his
21daughters, Mary Kathryn (Thomas) Kelly, Nancy (Robert) Krause,

1Sarah (Christopher) Stride, and Anne (Scott) Walker; and his 12
2grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
5family and friends, mourn the passing of James L. Anderson; and
6be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of James Anderson as an expression of
9our sympathy.
