HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Michael
4Patrick Frickey of Fairbury, who passed away on December 10,
52016; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Michael Frickey was born in Evergreen Park to
7Willard and Mary Mullman Frickey on April 8, 1958; he attended
8Eurkea College and married Cynthia A. Clausen in Dwight on
9September 29, 1979; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Michael Frickey was a career police officer,
11serving the Livingston County area; he was a Livingston County
12Sheriff's Deputy from 1979 to 1992 and an officer for the
13Fairbury Police Department from 1992 to 2016, serving as Chief
14from 2013 to 2016; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Michael Frickey was the past President of
16Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #186, a DARE officer, a Prairie
17Central High School resource officer, and a member of the
18Livingston County ERU team and Livingston County Proactive
19units; he was one of the founders of the CIFL program and a
20volunteer football coach for many years; he was a member of St.
21Andrew Catholic Church in Fairbury; and

1    WHEREAS, In November of 2016, Michael Frickey witnessed one
2of his lifelong dreams, to see the Chicago Cubs win the World
3Series; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Michael Frickey was preceded in death by his
5parents; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Michael Frickey is survived by his wife, Cynthia;
7his children, Megan (Bryan) Fehr, Jon Frickey (Crystal Athey),
8and Dane Frickey; his five grandchildren, Maggie, Koltyn,
9Konnor, and Nora Fehr, and Aria Frickey; his sisters, Kathy and
10Linda Frickey, and Gilda (Richard) Johnson; his brother, Bill
11Frickey (Jean Anne Thais); and many nieces, nephews,
12great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
14NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
15mourn the passing of Michael Patrick Frickey, and extend our
16sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
17and loved him; and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Michael Frickey as an expression of
20our deepest sympathy.
