HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Adell
4Tabb, who passed away on July 8, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Adell Tabb was born on September 6, 1938 in Money,
6Mississippi; his parents were Walter Tabb, Jr. and Mollie Ann
7Tabb; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Adell Tabb was educated in Money, Mississippi and
9migrated to Chicago at the age of 16; he was an industrious
10young man and held various positions of employment until his
11retirement at the age of 55; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Adell Tabb was a lover of people and children and
13imparted much into their lives; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Adell Tabb was a faithful member of St. Luke
15Church of God in Christ founded by Elder Luke Austin and
16pastored by Bishop James C. Austin, Sr.; after a visitation by
17Bishop James Austin in 1999, while he was in a coma, he
18accepted Christ; he joined St. Luke Church, got baptized the
19following Sunday, and was faithful until his health failed; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Adell Tabb is survived by his mother, Mollie Ann;

1his loving and devoted wife, Leontyne; his children, Ann
2Harris, Tina Tabb, and Alton, Albert, and Anthony Reese; his
3sisters, Willie Ruth Johnson, Hattie, Yvonnia, Willie Pearl
4Grigsby, and Dora Tabb; his brothers, Walter (Annie) Tabb, Jr.
5and Robert Tabb; his aunts, Lou Emma, Martha Baker, Priscilla
6McNair, and Naomi (Robert) Churchhill; his uncles, Nehemiah
7(Leotha), Aaron (Ericka), and Benjamin Wright; and his
8godchildren, Edwinda Mannings and Gabriel Millines; therefore,
9be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
11NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of
13Adell Tabb; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Adell Tabb as an expression of our
16sympathy.
