HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Carl
4Schrimpf of Round Lake Beach; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Carl Schrimpf and his wife, Yvonne, moved to the
6small village of Round Lake Beach in 1953; from then, he worked
7tirelessly to grow the village, leading efforts to attract new
8businesses, which spurred development of other commercial and
9residential areas; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Carl Schrimpf served as Round Lake Beach Village
11President for 5 terms, totaling 20 years, ending in 1993; prior
12to becoming Village President, he served 2 terms as a Village
13Trustee and 4 years as Police Magistrate; he also served on the
14Avon Center School Board and as an Avon Township Trustee; he is
15remembered as a trailblazer, devoted to civic matters and to
16making positive changes; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Carl Schrimpf was a design engineer by trade; he
18worked for over 30 years for Hough-International Harvester; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Carl Schrimpf is survived by his wife of 64 years,
20Yvonne; his son, Marty; his 2 daughters, Karen and Koral; his
2110 grandchildren; and his 14 great-grandchildren; therefore,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
3NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
4mourn the passing of Carl Schrimpf, and extend our sincere
5condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
6him; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Carl Schrimpf as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
