HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, Residents of Frankfort Township and the Village of
3Mokena lost an active and beloved community leader with the
4recent passing of Bruce Edmund Ebert; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert passed away peacefully with his family
6around him at Northwestern Memorial Hospital on February 9,
72015; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert graduated from Lincoln-Way High
9School in 1964; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert served his local community, State, and
11country with honor in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, In 1972, Bruce Ebert married Diane Tuttle and they
14began their life together in Mokena; and
 
15    WHEREAS, In 1978, Bruce and Diane Ebert started Ebert
16Electric in Mokena, which is still in business today; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert served his neighbors and his community
18in a variety of public positions, including President of the
19Mokena School Board, President of the Lincoln-Way Band

1Boosters, President of the St. John's Church Council, and
2Frankfort Township Trustee; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert also was an active member of the
4Mokena Lions Club and the Historical Society; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert loved spending time with his family,
6and he particularly enjoyed cheering at his grandchildren's
7sporting and school events, tending to his yard, dancing with
8his wife, and driving his Oliver tractor; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert will be greatly missed by all of those
10whose lives he touched and improved by his dedicated service;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, Bruce Ebert is survived by his wife of 42 years,
13Diane; his children, LeeAnn (Bret) Taylor and Bryant
14(Christie); his grandchildren, Jessica and Brian Taylor and
15Gavin and Breanna Ebert; his siblings, Dale (Lynn Laas) and
16Dianne (Robert) Schultz; his in-laws, Robert (Valerie) Horras,
17Dorothy Tuttle, Sheree (Richard) Kinder, and Neil (Rose)
18Tuttle; and numerous family members and friends; therefore, be
19it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
21NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

1mourn, along with his family, friends, and neighbors, the
2passing of Bruce Edmund Ebert; and be it further
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4presented to the family of Bruce Ebert as a symbol of our
