SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Shirley A. Sonnenberg of Collinsville,
4who passed away on October 30, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Shirley Sonnenberg was born in Litchfield on June
630, 1935 to Cecil and Fern (nee Doolin) Cooper; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Shirley Sonnenberg enjoyed being a wife, mother,
8and homemaker; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Shirley Sonnenberg was a member of Good Shepherd
10Lutheran Church in Collinsville; she was also a member of the
11Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the YMCA of
12Edwardsville; she was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals
13and an overall sports fan; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Shirley Sonnenberg was preceded in death by her
15husband, Donald; her parents; her son, Michael Sonnenberg; and
162 sisters, Betty Putty and LaVerne Murphy; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Shirley Sonnenberg is survived by her son, Don
18(Lynn) Sonnenberg; 3 daughters, Vickie O'Neill, Pat (Tony)
19Frey, and Debbie Mitchell; 5 grandchildren; 8
20great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild;

1therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Shirley A. Sonnenberg, and extend our sincere condolences to
5her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Shirley Sonnenberg as an expression
9of our deepest sympathy.
