SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of George T. Moore of Anchorage, Alaska,
4formerly of Oak Park, who passed away on May 16, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, George Moore was born to Daniel and Irma (nee
6Thompson) Moore; he graduated from Ascension Catholic School in
7Oak Park, attended Fenwick High School in Oak Park, and
8graduated from Duluth Cathedral High School (now Marshall
9School) in Duluth, Minnesota and Marquette University in
10Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and
 
11    WHEREAS, George Moore taught English Literature at West
12Anchorage High School; and
 
13    WHEREAS, George Moore was a Korean War veteran; and
 
14    WHEREAS, George Moore was preceded in death by his
15daughter, Cathy; his grandson, Connor; and his siblings, Pat,
16Nancy, and Jim; and
 
17    WHEREAS, George Moore is survived by his wife, Dorothey;
18his former wife, Jeneane; his children, Tom, Colleen, Jim
19(June), Terry (Yuki), and Mike; his grandchildren, Nathan,
20Christopher, Michael, Trevor, Gabriel, and Amanda; and his

1siblings, Dan (Pat), Tim (Jennifer), Kay (Chuck), Mike (the
2late Pat), and Mary Helen; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5George T. Moore, and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of George Moore as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
