SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Leona A. Bruckert of Bunker Hill, who
4passed away on October 9, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Leona Bruckert was born in Prairietown on February
619, 1913 to Henry and Emma (nee Helmkamp) Eden; she married
7Earl W. Bruckert in Prairietown on September 23, 1933; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Leona Bruckert was a homemaker who enjoyed
9quilting and embroidering; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Leona Bruckert was preceded in death by her
11husband, Earl; her parents; daughter, Doris Davis; sister,
12Amanda in childhood; sisters, Mary, Hannah, Emma, Florence, and
13Verneda; brother, Ellie; and brother, Oscar in childhood; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Leona Bruckert is survived by her son, Ivan
15(Dorothy) Bruckert; grandchildren, Rick (Dana) Davis, Terry
16(Becky) Bruckert, Brian Bruckert, Denise (Lance) Baker, and
17Erin (Jody) Bruckert; great-grandchildren, Ricky (Hollie),
18Jefferson (Jessie), Alicia (Bob), Malissa (Walter), Tiffany,
19and Trevor; great-great-grandchildren, Ethan, Ellie, Emmie,
20Ayden, Greyson, and Adrianna; step-great-grandchildren, Aaron
21(Jennifer) and Bailey (Kendall); and

3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Leona A. Bruckert, and extend our sincere condolences to her
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Leona Bruckert as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
