SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of LeRoy J. Schamper of Harvard, who passed
4away on June 22, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, LeRoy Schamper was born on December 31, 1944 in
6Chicago; his parents were LeRoy C. and Elaine L. (nee Malcolm)
7Schamper; he married Frances L. Walter at the United Methodist
8Church in Mundelein; and
 
9    WHEREAS, LeRoy Schamper served his country as a member of
10the United States Army Reserve in the Chicagoland area; and
 
11    WHEREAS, LeRoy Schamper was employed as a machinist at
12Union Special; he was also a maintenance worker at Marengo High
13School; and
 
14    WHEREAS, LeRoy Schamper enjoyed collecting model trains
15and tending to his flowers and garden; and
 
16    WHEREAS, LeRoy Schamper was preceded in death by his
17parents; and
 
18    WHEREAS, LeRoy Schamper is survived by his wife, Frances L.
19Schamper; 3 children, John M. (Kimberly) Schamper, Jaime L.

2grandchildren, Amanda, Ashleigh, Elena, Levi, and Vaughn; and 4
3siblings, Diane, Robert Shellenberger, Linda, and David Demel;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of LeRoy J. Schamper; and
8be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of LeRoy Schamper as an expression of
11our sympathy.
