SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Bertha L. Hough, who passed away on April
422, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bertha Hough was born on October 30, 1920 in
6Tofte, Minnesota; she was a resident of the Half Day-Prairie
7View area for most of her life; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Bertha Hough was a former member, deacon, and
9president of the Women's Fellowship at the Washburn
10Congregational Church in Half Day; she was also a member of the
11Vernon Township Seniors; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Bertha Hough was preceded in death by her parents,
13Wilhelm and Annie Lemm; her husband, Benjamin F. Hough, Sr.;
14and 8 brothers and sisters; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Bertha Hough is survived by 4 children, Nancy
16Foote (Stan Stubblefield), Benjamin Hough, Jr. (Lorene Blake),
17Pamela (Louis) Akins, and Richard Hough; 8 grandchildren, Joan,
18Julie, William, Shannon, Krista, Christine, Carol, and
19Matthew; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren;
20and 2 sisters, Marian Prouty and Anna Mae Heinsohn; therefore,

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Bertha L. Hough; and
4be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Bertha Hough as an expression of our
7sympathy.
