SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marianne U. (nee Bogolin) Kozlik of
4Bolingbrook, who passed away on March 16, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marianne Kozlik held numerous positions with
6various organizations, including Executive Director of the
7Community Service Council of Northern Will County, Will County
8Board Member, Will County Grant Coordinator, worked with Gang
9Intervention for Will County, and was a founding member of the
10Bolingbrook Housing Association, founder and Chief of the
11Bolingbrook Code Enforcement Department, founding Director of
12the Will County Center for Community Concerns, staff member for
13the Girl Scouts of America, and a former President of the
14Bolingbrook Professional Women's Organization; she managed
15local campaigns for Mayor Bailey and Mayor Claar, managed
16Republican campaigns for Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Jim Edgar,
17and Chuck Percy, and was a campaign staffer for Chuck Percy,
18Lynn Martin, and Jack Davis; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Marianne Kozlik was the beloved wife of the late
20Edward; the loving mother of Laurae (Chris Dryjanski) and Eric
21(Kristin); the dear grandmother of Nicholas, Jack, and Kassidy;
22the dear sister-in-law of Frank Kozlik; and the dear niece of
23Jen Kovacic and Joan Steinman; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Marianne U. Kozlik, and extend our sincere condolences to her
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Marianne Kozlik as an expression of
8our deepest sympathy.
