SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edward T. Winn of Richmond, who passed
4away on March 2, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edward Winn was born Janesville, Wisconsin on May
615, 1927 to Benjamin and Hazel (nee Turner) Winn; he graduated
7from Richmond-Burton High School in 1945 and married Erma Kobs
8on June 18, 1950 in Algonquin; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Edward Winn was a life-time farmer in the Richmond
10area and also worked as a heavy equipment operator for Thelen's
11Sand and Gravel for 29 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Edward Winn was a member of the Community Church
13of Richmond, the Pure Milk Association, Spring Grove Softball,
14the Spring Grove School Board, the State Line Motorcycle
15Riders, the Woodshed Whirlers Square Dancers, Community
16Clover, and he was a Gophers 4-H leader; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Edward Winn was preceded in death by his parents;
18his second mom, Emily Winn; his grandson, Aaron Bychowski; and
19by his brother-in-law, Lyle LaPoint; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Edward Winn is survived by his wife, Erma; his

1daughters, Barbara (Robert) Howe, Marjorie (Michael) Jones,
2Denise (James) Bower, and Susan (Jeffrey) Bychowski; his sons,
3Keith (Debra) Winn and David Winn; his 12 grandchildren; his 14
4great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Edith LaPoint and Diana
5(Raymond) Bauer; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Edward T. Winn, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Edward Winn as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
