SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Wilfred "Bill" Dean Ethell of Athens, who
4passed away on February 24, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Wilfred Ethell was born on June 4, 1929 in Greene
6County; his parents were Emmons and Bessie Parkin Ethell; he
7married Lola Young on June 5, 1948 in Athens; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Wilfred Ethell was a life-long farmer south of
9Athens until his retirement; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Wilfred Ethell was an active member of the Athens
11Christian Church, serving his calling as a treasurer, Deacon,
12Elder, and any place he was needed; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Wilfred Ethell was preceded in death by his
14parents; his brothers, Fritz, Mike, Robert "Bob", and Eldon
15"Cap" Ethell; his sisters, Bernice Walker and Gladys Johnson;
16and his grandson, Evan; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Wilfred Ethell is survived by his wife, Lola; his
18sons, Larry (Debbie) Ethell and Garry (Janet) Ethell; his
19daughter, Judy (Robert) Ethell-Glatz; his grandchildren: Ryan,
20Erik, Erin, Jennifer, Elise, and Kalab; his

1great-granddaughters, Alex, Lauren, Avelyn, and Brynlee; his
2great-grandsons, Dominic, William, Pete, Jeret, Landon, Kalab
3Jr., and Chad; his brother, Emmons "Jack" (Betty) Ethell; and
4his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Wilfred "Bill" Dean
8Ethell; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Wilfred Ethell as an expression of
11our sympathy.
