SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Juliette McCann of Gurnee, who passed
4away on February 4, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Juliette McCann was born in Waukegan on February
66, 1931 to John and Mary (nee Modic) Gabrovsek; she married
7Robert McCann in 1955 and they settled in Lake Villa; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Juliette McCann worked as a teacher's aide at
9Antioch High School in the 1960s and later as a nurse at
10Johnson Motors in Waukegan; in 1987 she retired and, along with
11her husband, moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona; they returned to
12Illinois in 2012; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Juliette McCann enjoyed dancing with her husband,
14singing with the Cordairs, and traveling; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Juliette McCann was preceded in death by her
16parents and by her sisters, Sophie (Eugene) Hooker, Jean
17(Robert) Jenkins, Mary Ann (James) McNeely, and Tillie (Edward)
18Tolson; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Juliette McCann is survived by her husband of 59
20years, Robert; her children, Michael (Noreen) McCann and

1Patrick (Tammy) McCann; her grandchildren, Sean, Kevin,
2Michael, Ryan (Lauren), Kayla, and Logan; her 3
3great-grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy (Ted) Ralston; and
4many nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Juliette McCann, and extend our sincere condolences to her
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Juliette McCann as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
