SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Michael C. Holmes of Wyoming, who passed
4away on February 14, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Holmes was born on May 19, 1964 in
6Kewanee; his parents were Richard and Joyce M. Camp Holmes; he
7married Trudy Frisby on February 18, 1995 in Wyoming; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Michael Holmes was employed as a seasonal snowbird
9worker for the Illinois Department of Transportation and worked
10in the winter operations team since November of 2007; he was
11also a seasonal summer worker at Roanoke Concrete and Stahl
12Ready Mix; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Michael Holmes was a member of the Wyoming Masonic
14Lodge #479 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons and the Fort
15Defiance Gun Range Club; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Michael Holmes enjoyed arrowhead hunting,
17camping, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his
18family; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Michael Holmes was preceded in death by his
20father; and

1    WHEREAS, Michael Holmes is survived by his wife, Trudy; his
2mother; his daughters, Jessica (Philip) Seiwell and April
3(Brandon Sies) Hall; his grandson, Braxton Sies; his sister,
4Michelle Holmes; his mother-in-law, Pat Frisby; his nieces and
5nephews, Zach, Holly, Dustin, Cody, Tyler, Derrick, Jennifer,
6Heather, Courtney, and Kylee; his 5 great-nieces and
7great-nephews; his uncles, Steve Pettit and Phil Pettit; and
8his close family friend, Deanna Christian; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael C. Holmes; and
12be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Michael Holmes as an expression of
15our sympathy.
