SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Fannie Louise Bradley, who passed away on
4November 8, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Fannie Bradley was born on September 5, 1941 in
6Dawson, Georgia; her parents were George and Lena Sapp; she
7married Charles White; in 1999, she met and married Herman
8Bradley; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Fannie Bradley attended the Chicago Public
10Schools for the Deaf and Cooley High School; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Fannie Bradley accepted and received the Holy
12Ghost in 1967, under the leadership of the late Superintendent
13Glenn Washington at Holy Temple #2 Church of God in Christ; she
14later joined House of Prayer Church of God in Christ under the
15leadership of Pastor Lamont Rutledge, where she served
16faithfully and was called to be a missionary; she later
17relocated to Texas and continued her missionary work assisting
18other ministries, including Pastor Sylvie of Longview, Texas,
19Pastor Horton of Henderson, Texas, Pastor Suthen of Gladewater,
20Texas, and Pastor L. Nelson of Longview, Texas; she
21subsequently relocated to Dallas, Texas, where she served as
22the Church Mother at Push Outreach under the leadership of her

1eldest daughter, Pastor Janice Norwood; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Fannie Bradley was preceded in death by her
3parents and her sisters, Theoda Murphy and Mary Reynolds; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Fannie Bradley is survived by her husband, Herman
5Bradley; her brothers, Gregory (Gemma), Eddie, Jr., and Kevin
6Murphy; her sisters, Linda Murphy and Deloris Van Pelt; her
7children, Janice Norwood (Ricky), Lena Nelson (Willie),
8Beverly Rutledge, Anitrius Glover, Steven (Tres) Willie, and
9Darrell and Wayne Glover; her 51 grandchildren; her 44
10great-grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews, and
11friends; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
14family and friends, mourn the passing of Fannie Louise Bradley;
15and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Fannie Bradley as an expression of
18our sympathy.
