SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Darlene M. Goewey of Richmond, who passed
4away on December 25, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Darlene Goewey was born on July 19, 1932 in
6Harvard; her parents were Claude and Mabel (nee Utesch) Meyers;
7she married Earl K. Goewey on July 24, 1961 in Sycamore; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Darlene Goewey was an inspector at the Admiral
9Corporation in Harvard and Intermatic Incorporated in Spring
10Grove for over 25 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Darlene Goewey enjoyed needlepoint,
12cross-stitching, gardening, and babysitting her grandchildren;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Darlene Goewey was preceded in death by her
15husband, Earl; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Goewey; her
16brothers, Ralph and Arthur Meyers; her sister, June Blanke; her
17sister-in-law, Charlotte Meyers; and her brother-in-law,
18Harold Dade; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Darlene Goewey is survived by her sons, David
20Meyers, John Loftus, and Larry (JoAnne Fornero) Goewey; her

1grandchildren, Nathan Ross and Andrea Goewey; her
2great-grandchild, Madison Goewey; and her sisters, Marge
3Beers, Mary Dade, Betty (Emmett) Thompson, and Linda Kelm;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Darlene M. Goewey; and
8be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Darlene Goewey as an expression of
11our sympathy.
