SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mark N. Valade of Joliet, who passed away
4on November 21, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mark Valade was born on December 24, 1949 in Blue
6Island to Louis and Gouinevere (nee Davis) Valade; he was a
7graduate of Joliet Catholic High School in 1968; he served with
8the United States Army in Vietnam from December 1968 to
9December 1969 with the First Marine Air Wing Da-Nang and with
10the 5th Marines at An-Hoa; he also served with the 7th Marines
11LZ-Baldy; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Mark Valade worked for Farmers Insurance for over
1330 years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Mark Valade was a life-member of the National
15Rifle Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Cantigny
16Post #367 in Joliet; he was also a member of the American
17Legion Marine Post #13 in Plainfield and the Marine Corps
18League; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Mark Valade was preceded in death by his parents;
20his brother, Tim; and his uncle, Majeur Davis; and

1    WHEREAS, Mark Valade is survived by his wife, Marcia; his
2brothers, Kevin (Margie) Valade, Bruce Valade, and Brian
3Valade; his stepdaughter, Jennifer (Joe) Trimble; his stepson,
4Justin (Samantha) Wirth; his grandchildren, Alister, Emily,
5and Cole Trimble; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and
6great-nephews; his best friends, Jim Restaino, Dan Murray,
7George Mushro, Jay Blessent, and Richard Jackson; and his
8canine companions, Star and Velvet; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Mark N. Valade, and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Mark Valade as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
