SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Scott Allen Morrasy of DeKalb, who passed
4away on June 6, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Scott Morrasy was born on January 10, 1961 in
6Kewanee to Frank and Diana (nee Gibson) Morrasy; he graduated
7from DeKalb High School; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Scott Morrasy worked as a machine operator; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Scott Morrasy was an avid politician,
10conversationalist, aspiring astronomer, and a devoted fan of
11Carl Sagan; he loved children, animals, music, and "just
12causes" and tried to save the world in many little ways; he was
13a member of the Sierra Club and the local Democratic Party; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Scott Morrasy was preceded in death by his father,
15Frank and his paternal grandmother, Amelia Morrasy; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Scott Morrasy is survived by his mother, Diana
17(Jerry) Carls; his sisters, Shelly (Jay) Ruby and Beth (Roger)
18Haeffner; his nieces and nephews, Audie (fiance Brady Kerry)
19Ruby, Ali Haeffner, Rhiannon Haeffner, Dustin Ruby, and Cody
20Haeffner; his great-nieces and nephews, Payten "Cutiepie",

1Chad, Laeyla, Brock, and Alexi; and aunts and uncles;
2therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Scott Allen Morrasy, and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Scott Morrasy as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
