SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mary Alice (nee Galvin) Budreck of
4McHenry, who passed away on October 6, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Budreck was born in Chicago on June 10, 1930
6to Joseph E. and Myrtle L. (nee Pederson) Galvin; she married
7Charles J. Budreck, Jr. on December 4, 1954 at Saint Giles
8Church in Oak Park; she was raised in Oak Park, graduated from
9Trinity High School in River Forest, and earned her Bachelor of
10Science Degree in Sociology from Loretta Heights College in
11Denver, Colorado; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Mary Budreck and her husband lived in Riverside
13and Oak Park before settling in McHenry; she was a homemaker
14and was always very busy with all of her children's activities;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Mary Budreck enjoyed playing golf and played in
17the Pistakee Golf League for 6 years; she was a member of the
18McHenry Country Club and the Saint Patrick Catholic Church; she
19was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks fan and loved
20to follow her favorite player, Ron Santo; she was known for
21having a passion for entertaining and throwing some of the best
22Christmas parties; and

1    WHEREAS, Mary Budreck was preceded in death by her son,
2Charles G. Budreck; her parents; her sister, Pat Reedy; and her
3brother, Thomas Galvin; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Mary Budreck is survived by her husband of 58
5years, Charles; her children, Cynthia (Joel) Brumlik, Michael
6(Rosie) Budreck, Joseph (Jeannine) Budreck, Linda Mueller, and
7Tom (Elizabeth) Budreck; her 17 grandchildren; her 3
8great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Barbara (the late
9Thomas) Galvin and Julie (the late Richard) Luehrsen; and her
10brother-in-law, Bernard (Mary Jane) Budreck; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Mary Alice Budreck, and extend our sincere condolences to her
14family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Mary Budreck as an expression of our
18deepest sympathy.
