SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eloise Yvonne Applewhite of North
4Chicago, who passed away on September 22, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eloise Applewhite was born on November 9, 1934 in
6Tuscumbia, Alabama; her parents were Jack Brown and Virginia
7Corrine Johnson; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Eloise Applewhite retired from Tots and Toddlers
9Day Care Center after 20 years of dedicated service; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Eloise Applewhite was a member of the Martha
11Chapter #1, Order of the Eastern Star - John G. Jones
12Affiliations, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons; she was also a
13devoted member of First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church
14and a member of the Mothers Board for 42 years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Eloise Applewhite was preceded in death by her
16husband, Jerry Applewhite; her parents; her brothers, Jack
17Brown and Lewis Mullins; her son, Michael Malone; and her
18special aunt, Eloise "Tee Tee" Johnson Thompson; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Eloise Applewhite is survived by her brother,
20Edward (Susan) Mullins; her sons, Charles Shipley, Jr. and

1Fernando (Harlene) Shipley; her daughter, Jacqueline (John)
2Joanem; her 11 grandchildren; her 10 great-grandchildren; her 3
3great-great-grandchildren; and her many special friends;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Eloise Yvonne
8Applewhite; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Eloise Applewhite as an expression
11of our sympathy.
