SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Zenia L. Killian of Waukegan, who passed
4away on August 13, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Zenia Killian was born on June 29, 1936 in Poland;
6she lived most of her life in North Chicago and Waukegan; she
7married Chester Killian on October 12, 1957 at Holy Rosary
8Parish in Waukegan; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Zenia Killian attended Holy Rosary School and
10Waukegan Township High School; in 1963, she became a member of
11Immaculate Conception Church, where she worshipped for over 40
12years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Zenia Killian worked at Cherry Electrical
14Products Corporation and Western Union before taking a position
15at Abbott Laboratories, where she retired after almost 20 years
16of employment; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Zenia Killian was a member of the Abbott Retirees
18Club, Habitat for Humanity, the Ambassador Club of Norstates
19Bank, and Park Place of Waukegan; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Zenia Killian enjoyed spending time with her

1family, traveling, gardening, dancing, and summer concerts;
2and
 
3    WHEREAS, Zenia Killian was preceded in death by her
4husband, Chester; his father, Walter; her mother, Lottie
5Cybulski; her brother, Bogdan; her sister-in-law, Donna
6(Bollman) Cybulski; and her nephew, Walter Cybulski; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Zenia Killian is survived by her children, Ronald
8(Kerrijean) Killian, Deborah Killian, Michael Killian,
9Lawrence (Sendie) Killian, and Annette (Morgan) Shoulders; her
10grandchildren, Jonathan Killian, Brenda and Jamie Killian,
11Nicole, Erik, and Elise Killian, Kyle, Katie, Jennifer, and
12Ellie Shoulders, and Sky Killian; her 3 great-grandchildren;
13her brother, Van Cybulski; her brothers-in-law, Thaddeus
14Killian, Walter Killian, and Leo (Dolores) Killian; and her
15many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
18family and friends, mourn the passing of Zenia L. Killian; and
19be it further
 
20    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21presented to the family of Zenia Killian as an expression of
22our sympathy.
