SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Reuben A. Segebarth of Waukegan, who
4passed away on August 13, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Reuben Segebarth was born on August 4, 1928 in
6Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; he was a resident of Waukegan for
763 years; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Reuben Segebarth graduated from the University of
9Wisconsin at Milwaukee (formerly, Wisconsin State Teachers
10College-Milwaukee) and received his Master's Degree from
11Roosevelt University in Chicago; he was a member of the Delta
12Chi Sigma Honorary National Science Society; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Reuben Segebarth was a retired 6th grade teacher
14from Waukegan School District 60, where he had taught at
15Jackson and Clearview Schools; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Reuben Segebarth was a member of St. John's United
17Church of Christ; he was also an avid stamp collector and a
18member of the Lake County Philatelic Society; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Reuben Segebarth was preceded in death by his son,
20Roger A. Segebarth; his parents, John Henry and Teresa (nee

1Klatt) Segebarth, Jr.; his 2 brothers; and his sister; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Reuben Segebarth is survived by his wife of 59
3years, Joanne M. (nee Carlson) Segebarth; his daughter, Teri Lu
4(Masato) Chinen; his grandchildren, Matthew and Michael
5Chinen; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Reuben A. Segebarth;
9and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Reuben Segebarth as an expression of
12our sympathy.
