SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gerald "Jerry" A. Draffkorn, Sr. of
4Wonder Lake, who passed away on July 2, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gerald Draffkorn, Sr. was born on January 2, 1939,
6in Chicago, to Frank and Marian Quall Draffkorn; he married
7Susan Sullivan on August 8, 1982, in Wonder Lake; he served in
8the United States Army; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Gerald Draffkorn, Sr. worked as a well driller for
10Joseph H. Huemann & Sons of Ringwood, retiring 3 years ago; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Gerald Draffkorn, Sr. was a member of The Church
12of Holy Apostles in McHenry; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Gerald Draffkorn, Sr. was preceded in death by his
14sister, Marianne Cristy and his brother, Donald Draffkorn; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Gerald Draffkorn, Sr. is survived by his wife; his
16daughters, Jennifer (Patrick) Etherington and Jill Draffkorn;
17his sons, Jerry (Natalie) Draffkorn, Jr., Jeff (Mary)
18Draffkorn, and Jim Draffkorn; his brothers, Frank (Ellen)
19Draffkorn and Tom (Janice) Draffkorn; and his grandchildren,
20Trey, Jonelle, Katie, Matthew, and Jonathon Draffkorn and

1Nathan, Emily, and Logan Etherington; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Gerald A. Draffkorn, Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to
5his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Gerald Draffkorn, Sr. as an
9expression of our deepest sympathy.
