SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of David Webb Sr., who passed away on May
420, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Webb Sr. was born on November 2, 1919, in
6Lafayette County, Mississippi; his parents were Mammie Pettis
7Webb and Tom Lewis; he married Sarah Lee Frison in 1938; and
 
8    WHEREAS, David Webb Sr. professed his faith in Christ at an
9early age and joined the Buford Chapel United Methodist Church,
10where he served as a trustee, class leader, lay leader, member
11of the parish relations staff, and overseer of the cemetery;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, David Webb Sr. was a member of the College Hill
14Water Association, a foster grandparent with the North
15Mississippi Regional Center, and a member of Stafford Masonic
16Lodge #523 P.H.A.; and
 
17    WHEREAS, David Webb Sr. was preceded in death by his wife,
18Sarah Lee; his parents; his sons, Jessie Webb and Willie Webb;
19and his siblings; and
 
20    WHEREAS, David Webb Sr. is survived by his daughters, Lois

1(Walter) Smith and Adriene B. Webb; his sons, David (Mary)
2Webb, Jr., Charles (Bernice) Webb, Sharron (Anne) Webb, and
3John (Elsie) Quarles; his 20 grandchildren; his 23
4great-grandchildren; his many cousins, nieces, and nephews;
5and his special nieces, Mary Lois Lewis-Miller and Loretta
6Redmond-Campbell; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9his family and friends, the passing of David Webb Sr.; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of David Webb Sr. as an expression of
13our sympathy.
