SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Clell Thomas Perotka of Godfrey, who
4passed away on March 8, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Clell Perotka was born on May 19, 1923, in East
6St. Louis; his parents were John Thomas and Lennie Lee Perotka;
7he married Dorothy Jean Heinlein on November 2, 1944; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Clell Perotka served his country with pride as a
9member of the United States Navy in both theaters of World War
10II; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Clell Perotka worked as a general contractor and
12was a 65-year member of the Carpenters Union; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Clell Perotka was a lifetime member of the Godfrey
14Lions Club and the Caseyville VFW; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Clell Perotka enjoyed woodcarving, woodworking,
16and spending time with his family; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Clell Perotka was preceded in death by his
18parents; his sister, Lee Fern Russell; his brother, Wayne
19Perotka; and his granddaughter, Katherine Ann Perotka; and

1    WHEREAS, Clell Perotka is survived by his wife, Dorothy;
2his children, Robert (Ted) and Betty, Rodger (Tom) and Karen,
3and Dr. Susan Perotka and Rylan Rydberg; his 9 grandchildren;
4his 17 great-grandchildren; his 4 great-great-grandchildren;
5his sisters, Dorcas Jahn and Joyce (Roger) Stough; his brother,
6Zack (Carole) Perotka; and his many nieces and nephews;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10his family and friends, the passing of Clell Thomas Perotka;
11and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Clell Perotka as an expression of
14our sympathy.
