SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Milton F. Wunderlich of Joliet, who
4passed away on January 2, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Milton Wunderlich was born on August 10, 1928, in
6Joliet to Milton J. and Elma (Fritz) Wunderlich; he graduated
7from Farragut Elementary, Joliet Township High School, and
8attended Joliet Junior College; he married Donna Deiss; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Milton Wunderlich worked as a carver in his
10family's granite business and went on to found Wunderlich
11Construction Co. in 1952; he built custom homes for over 50
12years; he served as the president of both the Will-Grundy
13Counties Home Builders Association and the Illinois State Home
14Builders Association; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Milton Wunderlich was a member of the Cathedral of
16St. Raymond and Joliet Elks Lodge #296; he enjoyed attending
17Illini-Wisconsin football games, spending time at his cottage
18in Wisconsin, enjoying the lake and sailing, working in his
19garden, and having morning coffee with "the guys"; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Milton Wunderlich was preceded in death by his
21son, Mark; his daughter, Mary; his parents, Milton J. and Elma

1Wunderlich; his brother, Jack (Estelle) Wunderlich; his
2sister-in-law, Audrey (Donald) Abens; and his brother-in-law,
3Paul (Georgia) Deiss; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Milton Wunderlich is survived by his wife of 62
5years, Donna; his children, Robert (Mardi) Wunderlich, Susan
6Wunderlich, Sally (Michael) Smoltich, Scott (Joelyn)
7Wunderlich, Caralyn (Keith) McDonald, Thomas (Karen)
8Wunderlich, and Daniel Wunderlich; his grandchildren, Beth,
9Michael, and Kristen Wunderlich, Julie, Laura, Kara, and Anna
10Smoltich, Claire and Ben Wunderlich, Megan, Lauren, Michael,
11and Brian McDonald, and Ian Wunderlich; his 3
12great-grandchildren; his brother, Dr. Warren (Darlene)
13Wunderlich; his sister, Carol (Dr. Donald) Pricco; his
14sister-in-law, Kay (Harry) Zweifel; his brother-in-law, Dr.
15Robert (Joan) Deiss; and numerous nieces and nephews;
16therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
19Milton Wunderlich, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
20family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
21further
 
22    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23presented to the family Milton Wunderlich as an expression of
