SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Michael J. Leginski of Wadsworth, who
4passed away on January 24, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Leginski was born on April 2, 1946, in
6Waukegan; he married Joyce Semasko on May 18, 1974, at Holy
7Rosary Church in North Chicago; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Michael Leginski was a graduate of St. Ambrose
9University in Davenport, Iowa and earned his master's degree in
10education from Roosevelt University in Chicago; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Michael Leginski taught for 33 years at McCall
12School in Waukegan, having taught both 4th and 5th grades until
13his retirement in 2001; he also worked as a security guard at
14Abbott Laboratories for 28 years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Michael Leginski was a member of the "Push
16Buttons" Social Club and the Zion-Benton Moose Club; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Michael Leginski enjoyed fishing, bowling, and
18golfing; he was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Michael Leginski was preceded in death by his

1father, Joseph; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Michael Leginski is survived by his wife, Joyce;
3his son, Mark J. (Elizabeth) Leginski; his daughter, Lisa
4(Chris) Leynes; his mother, Olga Leginski; his grandchildren,
5Livia, Noah, and Maximus; his "best friend", Sam; and his
6sister, Connie (Mel) Danielson; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9his family and friends, the passing of Michael J. Leginski; and
10be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Michael Leginski as an expression of
13our sympathy.
