1    AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by changing
5Sections 9-112 and 9-190 and adding Sections 9-119.1 and
69-202.1 as follows:
 
7    (40 ILCS 5/9-112)  (from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 9-112)
8    Sec. 9-112. Salary. "Salary": Annual salary of an employee
9under this Article as follows:
10    (a) Beginning on the effective date and prior to July 1,
111947 $3000 shall be the maximum amount of annual salary of any
12employee to be considered for the purposes of this Article; and
13beginning on July 1, 1947 and prior to July 1, 1953, said
14maximum amount shall be $4800; and beginning on July 1, 1953
15and prior to July 1, 1957 said maximum amount shall be $6,000;
16and beginning on July 1, 1957, if salary shall be based upon
17the actual sum paid and reported to the Fund or wages is
18appropriated, fixed or arranged on an annual basis, the actual
19sum payable during the year if the employee worked the full
20normal working time in his position, at the rate of
21compensation, exclusive of overtime and extra service. ,
22appropriated or fixed as salary or wages for service in the
23position;

1    (b) (Blank). Beginning July 1, 1957, if appropriated, fixed
2or arranged on other than an annual basis, the applicable
3schedules specified in Section 9-221 shall be used for
4conversion of the salary to an annual basis;
5    (c) Where the county provides lodging, board and laundry
6service for an employee without charge and so reports to the
7Fund while the employee is receiving such lodging, board and
8laundry service, his salary shall be considered to be $480 a
9year more for the period from the effective date to August 1,
101959 and thereafter $960 more than the amount payable as salary
11for the year, and the salary of an employee for whom one or
12more daily meals are provided by the county without charge
13therefor and are reported by the county to the Fund while the
14employee is receiving such meals shall be considered to be $120
15a year more for each such daily meal for the period from the
16effective date to August 1, 1959 and thereafter $240 more for
17each such daily meal than the amount payable as his salary for
18the year.
19    (d) For the purposes of ordinary disability, salary shall
20be based upon the rate reported to the Fund at the date of
21disability and adjusted to reflect the actual hours paid during
22the prior year.

25    Sec. 9-119.1. Earned annuity. "Earned annuity": (1) The

1annuity a participant has accrued as provided in Section 9-134,
2disregarding minimum age and service eligibility requirements
3and without any reduction due to age, or (2) the age and
4service annuity as provided in Sections 9-125 through 9-128,
5inclusive.

7    Sec. 9-190. Board powers and duties. The board shall have
8the powers and duties stated in Sections 9-191 to 9-202.1
99-202, inclusive, in addition to such other powers and duties
10provided in this Article.

13    Sec. 9-202.1. To reproduce records. To have any records
14kept by the board photographed, microfilmed, or digitally or
15electronically reproduced in accordance with the Local Records
16Act. The photographs, microfilm, and digital and electronic
17reproductions shall be deemed original records and documents
18for all purposes, including introduction in evidence before all
19courts and administrative agencies.

22repealing Section 9-221.
