HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
4William-Daniel Hans Payne, of Johnston City, who passed away on
5May 14, 2014; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Daniel Payne was born on July 14, 1988 in
7Carbondale to Brian and Sharon (nee Hartung) Payne; he
8graduated from Johnston City High School in 2007, where he
9participated in football, wrestling, and baseball and was a
10member of the National Honor Society; he married Terra Harriss
11on June 4, 2011 in DeSoto; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Daniel Payne worked as a coal miner at M-Class
13Mining; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Daniel Payne was an avid motorcycle rider and
15enjoyed racing go-carts and dirt track race cars; he also
16enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being with family, friends, and
17his pets, Maggie, Willie, and Jack; he was a member of the
18Buccaneer's Club of Johnston City; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Daniel Payne was preceded in death by his
20grandfathers, Hans Hartung and Lindell Payne;
21great-grandfather, Joseph "Gramps" Tkocz; a great-grandmother,

1Sophie Kochinsky; an uncle, Michael Payne; and a cousin, Connie
2Smith; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Daniel Payne is survived by his wife, Terra; his
4parents; his sister, Samantha Payne; maternal grandparents,
5Faye and Earl Hutchinson and Betty and George Kupczak; paternal
6grandmother, Maryann Payne; a great-grandmother, Louise Still;
7uncles and aunts, Karl and John Hartung, Shawn, Shayne, and
8Scott Hutchinson, Kathy Estes and Erika Frick, Tim Payne and
9Debbie Belt; mother and father-in-law, Michael and Cathy
10Harriss; brother and sister-in-laws, Matthew and wife Sarah and
11Shane Harriss; aunts, Candace Kochinsky and Jean Smith; other
12special aunts and uncles; several cousins; a niece, Kaelyn; and
13a nephew, Hayden; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
16we mourn the passing of William-Daniel Hans Payne, and extend
17our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who
18knew and loved him; and be it further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Daniel Payne as an expression of our
21deepest sympathy.
