HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Ruby Mae
4Fogle of Herrin, who passed away on March 25, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ruby Fogle was born on May 2, 1921 in Bluff City;
6her parents were Charles W. and Martha (nee Pope) Hatfield; she
7married Jesse Noel "Jess" Fogle on September 1, 1940 in
8Jackson, Missouri; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ruby Fogle was a loving homemaker who naturally
10took care of others and selflessly gave of herself; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Ruby Fogle was a member of Bryan St. Baptist
12Church in Herrin and was a volunteer at the Herrin Food Pantry;
13she was also in several social clubs with her friends and
14bowled in league play with the "Roadrunners"; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Ruby Fogle enjoyed craftworking with her husband,
16tole painting, and folk art; she taught herself to sew and was
17an excellent cook and baker of pies, particularly coconut cream
18pies; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Ruby Fogle was preceded in death by her parents;
20her husband, Jesse; her sisters, Barbara Hammonds and Margaret

1Hatfield; and her brothers, Jack and Bill Hatfield; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Ruby Fogle is survived by her daughter, Jessica
3Boden and her husband, Kenneth; her sister, Helen Humphrey; her
4brothers, Earl Hatfield, Gene Hatfield and his wife, Mary Ann,
5and Gary Hatfield; her sister, Carol Jent and her husband,
6Dean; and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and
7great-nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
9NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
10we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of
11Ruby Mae Fogle; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Ruby Fogle as an expression of our
14sympathy.
