HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Lorraine
4Ringa of Long Lake, who passed away on March 18, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa was born on June 24, 1923 in
6Chicago; she was the daughter of the late William and Emelia
7Kleczewski (nee Klee); she grew up in Chicago, where she worked
8in the family bakery; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa was a resident of Lake Villa since
101958; she worked with her husband in the family funeral home;
11she later retired to Long Lake, where her family has had a home
12since 1925; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa was a member of Prince of Peace
14Church and the Long Lake Yacht Club, where she was a dedicated
15member of the Tuesday Tillies Ladies Group; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa enjoyed fishing, practical jokes,
17sunsets and sunrises, traveling, playing the accordion, and
18gardening; she will be fondly remembered for her
19resourcefulness, her collections of bottle openers and hats,
20and her fierce independence; and

1    WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa is survived by her son, Robert
2(Robyn) Ringa, Jr.; her grandchildren Robert "RJ" (Megan
3Mccurry) Ringa, III and Andrew (Colleen) Ringa; and her
4great-grandchildren, Maceo Ringa and Lincoln Ringa; therefore,
5be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
8we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of
9Lorraine Ringa; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Lorraine Ringa as an expression of
12our sympathy.
