1    AN ACT concerning civil law.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by
5changing Section 5-101 as follows:
 
6    (735 ILCS 5/5-101)  (from Ch. 110, par. 5-101)
7    Sec. 5-101. Security for costs. In all actions in any court
8on official bonds for the the use of any person, actions on the
9bonds of executors, administrators or guardians, qui tam
10actions, actions on a penal statute, and in all civil actions,
11where the plaintiff, or person for whose use an action is to be
12commenced, is not a resident of this State, the plaintiff, or
13person for whose use the action is to be commenced, shall,
14before he or she institutes such action, file, or cause to be
15filed, with the clerk of the court in which the action is to be
16commenced, security for costs, substantially in the following
17form:
18    A B v. C D - (Title of court.)
19    I, (E.F.) enter myself security for all costs which may
20accrue in the above entitled action.
