SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Makes appropriations to the Supreme Court for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the judicial system.  Effective July 1, 2013.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5.  The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated to the Supreme Court to pay the ordinary and contingent expenses of certain officers of the court system of Illinois as follows:

  For Personal Services:

    Judges' Salaries.......................... $185,844,000

  For Travel:

    Judicial Officers............................ 1,048,500

  For State Contributions

    to Social Security........................... 2,694,700

    Total, this Section                        $189,587,200

 

    Section 10.  The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Supreme Court:

  For Personal Services........................ $8,405,900

  For State Contributions

   to Social Security.............................. 643,000

  For Contractual Services......................... 717,200

  For Travel........................................ 24,500

    Section 30. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Supreme Court for deposit into the Foreign Language Interpreter Fund for the operation of the Foreign Language Interpreter Program.

 

    Section 35.  The sum of $26,515,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Mandatory Arbitration Fund to the Supreme Court for Mandatory Arbitration Programs.

 

    Section 40.  The sum of $1,145,100, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Foreign Language Interpreter Fund to the Supreme Court for the Foreign Language Interpreter Program.

 

    Section 45.  The sum of $939,800, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Lawyers' Assistance Program Fund to the Supreme Court for lawyers' assistance programs.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2013.
